Want to take the Electronics Engineering (ECE) board exam in the Philippines? Electronics engineers earn decent salary. If you dream to become one someday, we prepared the complete exam guide here.
Passing the exam will certify that you have the needed skills and knowledge to do your job efficiently. You will, therefore, need to prepare for it. But how? There are many ways to prepare, but today we’ll just talk about one of them — the ECE exam preparation guide.
The Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC) has already announced the schedule of the incoming Electronics Engineering Board Exam, the start of the online application, the deadline for application filing, and the requirements needed for application in both the April 2024 and October 2024 ECE board exam.
Electronics Engineering vs. Electrical Engineering
The difference between electronics and electrical engineering is that electronics is a subset of electrical engineering. Electronics deals with the study of semiconductors, solid-state devices, and integrated circuits. Electrical engineers design, build, test, and maintain all forms of electrical equipment.
Electronics engineers typically work in product design, development, and quality assurance/control. Electrical engineers deal with all aspects of power generation, transmission, and utilization, as well as the design, construction, and maintenance of power plants and other equipment associated with electric power production.
